Sketches

Haven't done subway sketching in awhile but here are my drawings for the Feb 24th session. I'll have to get used to being drowsy there again!

Recent Page of Subway Sketches

Here is a recent finished page of observational drawings from the Subway Sketching on Sundays.

Its always fun to draw a variety of different people, you can tell it is winter time here in Toronto and its getting pretty cold. Everyone is in their winter gears.

Stay warm, everyone!

It was great time meeting with new friends and talking about art with others.
Peter gave me good tip how to draw ears since I had drawing the ear, which always looked kinda flat before.
See you guys next time! ^^

Hello fellow sketchers! That's right, I am finally posting something here in a long overdo fashion :) Being dedicated to this group week after week is such a thrill for me and I hope those who come out and those who will come out experience a similar thrill!

Here are some quick drawings from yesterday's subway run.

~Dream Big, Work Hard~

I did some sketches from last year's subwaysketching and cafe, and turned them into characters :) Enjoy!

Hello everybody, while I no longer live in the great north in the city of Toronto, I've kept up the habit on my daily commute to NYC. Some sketches courtesy of NJ Transit. People are mostly sleeping or looking down at their blackberries/ipads, as indicative of your typical morning commuter. Just some head drawings for now.

I led sketch group a few weeks back, only this guy showed up and I painted this background.

Trying some painting on the subway recently.

Hello people, I'm glad to be here at last! Only after posting these do I realize that everyone in my drawings looks either bored, tired, or angry. haha. By the way, this is my first post and I still don't know how to use my scanner, so go easy on me. But nice to meet you all!

A few sketches from last 2-3 weeks.
I'm trying to create a story when drawing the people, it really helps push the gesture and emotion behind the pose.

If you happen to be in Ottawa next week for the Animation festival, be sure to stop by Oz Kafe for an art show exhibiting some talented folks from the Canadian Animation scene. Show starts at 9pm, Thursday October 21st -Oz Kafe (361 Elgin st)

I ducked out a little early to see Catfish this week, everyone go see it it was amazing!

Some sketches while waiting for food at "Fresh" one of me and Kathryn's favorite restaurants.mmmmmmmmiso gravy

Sketches from the latest sketchgroup with some draw over action from the amazing T.

These are the sketches I did from subway sketch and my train ride to work.
I have a pile of drawings so I just put them all to one long page =P

Here are some of my sketches from August 1st! Why don't more people post to this blog?

Thank you Peter and Imaginism for redesigning this blog and, as promised to them, I will post my stuff.

Here are some of my subway sketches from late May to July 18th, and a digital rendering of one of them.

Thanks Peter, for the invite.
Here's a few of my subway drawings from 2 weeks ago.
Had a blast drawing everyone from the group, plus a few passengers.
Great dinner too :)
